The NIHHIS Situation Manual remains the center of the submission. HotHub is a companion artifact that shows repeatability, actionability, and training value.
About HotHub
A static companion app for the Coastal Heat Crossroads Situation Manual.
HotHub helps exercise coordinators turn a heat tabletop Situation Manual into reusable operational materials: scenario files, facilitator drills, protocol cards, training lessons, decision logs, scoring summaries, and AAR/IP-ready outputs.
It is designed for Savannah / Chatham County's extreme heat plus partial power outage scenario, but the content is configuration-driven so other localities can adapt it.
The NIHHIS Situation Manual remains the center of the submission. HotHub is a companion artifact that shows repeatability, actionability, and training value.
The Exercise Library provides downloadable mini-drills with setup, roles, injects, expected outputs, scoring checks, and debrief questions.
Scenarios, lessons, training paths, and exercises live in JSON files under config/, making them easy to add, revise, and reuse.
HotHub uses NIMS as the operating framework and CLEAR-HEAT as the heat-specific field protocol for coordination, resource management, public information, SITREPs, and after-action improvement.
HotHub should be described as optional and supportive. The manual must remain fully usable without the website. The website helps judges see that the exercise can be repeated, localized, trained, scored, and converted into improvement actions.
